configuration hangs at startup

Hi.

I am installing PD 4.0 using a boot camp partition (Windows Vista Ultimate 64). This is a new install. The reconfiguration process alerts to go to manual mode but then the screen just hangs at "Trying to boot from Primary Master IDE drive ..."

Nothing appears to be happening but Activity Monitor shows 101.2% CPU usage for prl_vm_app. After an hour and a half I've gotten frustrated and shutdown PD and tried it again. Starting up the VM goes back to step 1 of 4 of configuration then prompts to go to manual mode again stops at the same place.

Please advise on Configuration.
