configuration problem

I set the configuration to automatically open when I select a VM and to automatically close when I close the VM. However now I want to change the configuration of the VM but cannot because Parallels will not let me while the VM is running but when I stop it from running Parallels closes. This is a "catch 22" situation. How can I get out of it?:confused:

upon starting of VM.. at the tool bar area, you will see the red square button.. click on it and it will stop the booting of VM..

Thanks for the info. The trouble is that I also set Parallels to close when the VM closes. I am still not able to reset the flags.
