Contents of the .pvm file

I need to move my Parallels 12 Pro / Windows 10 VM to a new machine. I have read the articles and am confident on how to perform the process. Just one last question I didn't find a direct answer for. Is the actual Windows 10 installation contained in the .pvm file? If I move the licenses and the .pvm file to the new machine, will the Windows 10 installation be there also?

 

Hi @plunkettphoto , yes it will be. Moving the pvm file will make no changes in the Windows virtual machine except for the Windows activation. Please check with Microsoft licensing team and check if they can allow you to use the same license in two different instances.
