Continual problem with USB card writer

I am unable to get my USB writer to open without crashing every time. Since the inception of the computer, parellels install and update I can not get the card writer to open the contents of the file or to put files onto the card for insertion into a computerized sewing machine. When I finally think it is going to open without crashing I get a message "no card writer attached"

Any help would be most helpful. I have build 3170, have tried increasing memory alloc., shut down and removed card writer and plugged it back in still no help

I hava Jessops Universal card reader whichi useunder the MAc OS without problems

as a work around try saving the new file onto the WinXP desktop

drag and drop it onto the mac desktop
then that copy on to the memroy stick you use for the sewing machine
Just a guess

It amybe a question of permissions

try
parallels desktop >>menu >> devices >> shared folders >> add

I have had similar problems with another application
