Convert or start from scratch?

Hi,

I have been using VMware Fusion for a while and decided to give Parallels a try after some frustration with Fusion. I'm on a two-week trial, but already I like what I see. I converted my Fusion VM to a Parallels VM. If I do decide to take the plunge, should I start a new Windows 7 VM from scratch by loading the OS or is the performance of the converted VM OK?
