I have a full backup of a HD taken in linux (dd if=/dev/hdx of=hdx.img (I have the plain partition (hdx1) that I need, too as an image)). The question is, how do I convert this real HD image to a VM image? I have tried Transporter, Image Tool etc. None of them understand the real HD image that I have. How can I convert this?
Thanks.
PS: The disk is from an 486DX4 laptop, no transporter SW installation/firewire/network there. Just a broken floppy drive and RS-232
Actually the disk is so old, that modern chipsets can't understand that veryfirst ATA/IDE standard anymore.. I was surprised
Thanks.
