copy multiple cells between MS Excel | Mac Excel and

Is it possible to copy/paste multiple cells between virtual MS excel and Mac O/S Excel? I found that I can copy/paste single cells between the two if the cells only contact text or a number but not dates, and copy/paste does not work at all if I copy multiple cells.
