Copy-pasting text into Linux VM terminal

    I feel a bit stupid for not being able to figure this out, but how to paste text copied on macOS into Linux VM terminal (I think distribution doesn't matter - it's the same on Ubuntu and Fedora)? Neither the usual keyboard shortcuts nor "Edit --> Paste" menu options work - I get pasted nothing or the "^V" appears, but never the text from my clipboard (which I checked that is still there). Of course Mac clipboard sharing is enabled.
    It's annoying to type everything by hand...

    I haven't really dug into this much but I've seen the same thing myself. It is super annoying. As a workaround you can ssh into the guest from your mac host to paste.
