yesterday I installed RC of parallels. today superduper stopped working and also bash (opening the terminal woud only give me a "[Process was terminated by signal 10]").
since the only thing I installed between yesterday and today was RC I thought it could be that the origin of the problems (it did weird stuff with permissions before). I installed by previously running the uninstall script.
removing RC and rebooting gave no solution, so I started investigating and saw that /etc/pam.d/other was messed. original was like (rescued from a backup done yesterday before installing RC):
# other: auth account password session
auth required pam_deny.so
account required pam_deny.so
password required pam_deny.so
session required pam_deny.so
current is:
uestWithAuditInfo)
May 18 08:08:17 [1504] (ipc/rcv) invalid name: CGXRunOneServerPass: mach_msg (gServiceSet) failed (last RPC: LaunchAppRequestWithAuditInfo)
May 18 08:08:17 [1504] (ipc/rc
I was wondering if RC was the cause (and raise a BIG RED FLAG to other folks) or it has nothing to do with RC and start looking elsewhere.
regards.
