counterstrike 1.6 on parallels problem

hi i searched for answer and i couldnt find it so i am making a new topic.

Problem 1:
for some reason the shift and control ingame in counterstrike 1.6 only activates on the release of the key.
so i went into pref -> key and changed the settings to "Generic" instead of "Windows" and that solved the problem... for now.

but that led me to problem 2.

Problem 2: (fyi:i have crouch as SHIFT and walk and CTRL)
When I want to crouch, i hold shift but it dosent start crouching until i start moving (w,a,s,d)
So, standing still and holding crouch, results in me just standing there.

Also, when i am in a running motion, and i try to press crouch OR walk, it dosent crouch or walk, it just keeps running.
i am forced to let go of the direction keys to either walk or crouch, then i press the directional key again to move.

i dont know if this is some settings in windows i have to fix or i have no idea.

i am running XP on a leopard.

There is a special checkbox in 'Virtual Machine Configuration' -> Options -> Services -> 'Optimize modifier keys for games' which should fix your problem with games once and for all
