Hi, I've got a crappy old Windows machine with a custom XP install on it that I'd like to migrate to my shiny new MacBook Pro. Will the poor hardware quality of the old Windows machine effect the quality of the Parallels machine? I mean, if I had a choice between migrating from a new Windows machine or from my old crappy one, would it matter which I chose? I'm going to use Transporter to get the old Machine over to the MacBook Pro. Thoughts? Thanks.
It shouldn't affect the quality of moving things over unless you have viruses or whatnot. Clean installs never hurt if you are willing to take the time. I like imaging the computers in our office at least every six months. It keeps them running a LOT faster, and all the needless junk gets cleaned up too.
