Create a bootable external disk from vm?

I would like to run Windows natively on my Mac. I have parallels, which is fine usually for most of the apps I run, but would like to see if running native windows will make some of them (games primarily) perform better. Is there some method of creating an external bootable drive from a Parallels VM?
