How can a base VM be created with no hard drives in V12?

File-New appears to give me a wizard that contains all OS installations that would require a hard drive. And the only other option I see is to connect an existing virtual machine, which would require me to have the file I am trying to create.

Hi ChrisB15, you can create an empty virtual machine without a guest OS but it will have an empty .hdd file. If you can let us know the exact need for an empty VM, we can suggest you if it is possible or not.

Right now I am trying to create a blank vm. This will eventually house a VHD file. But I am not at that stage yet.

Any further input? I need to get this complete, I have customers waiting on the output of this machine. I need to get it attached and going so I can produce the output.
