Ctrl Click Multiple Files on VM Vista

I've seen a couple posts on the forums and I've tried everything to get this to work.

When I use ctrl click to select multiple files in my windows instance it just brings up the left click menu for the individual file I select.

Does anyone have a work for this ?

I've tried swapping the command and ctrl key .. didn't work.

I don't have a mouse, or any any mouse software installed on my Vista instance.
