Custom Migration Needed... How to?

I use Parallels to create an exact virtual copy of my Windows 7 work laptop on my home Mac. I've been re-migrating my PC about every three months (when my password changes). All the enterprise security stuff works just like on a stand-alone laptop. This has been working great for years. ...until now.

With v10 everything is different! The problem is that the migration agent now assumes I'm migrating my PC INTO the Mac. NO, I just want to migrate it into it's own VM, like I've always done, but there no longer seems to be an option for that.

Because Parallels now tries to merge my PC files into my Mac, I can't access half my files because permissions are screwed up - because key files and directories are "missing" certain applications can't start and there's no way I can fix it. It's a total mess.

My question is simply: How can I do a migration from a PC to a self contained VM. ...That doesn't mean isolated (as a previous forum question asked) - I do want to drag-and-drop files between Mac and Windows, but each needs to live in it's own space.

I've tried changing various things after the migration, but by that time the damage is done. I need it to migrate correctly first, THEN change sharing.

Just to add .. I have now wasted an entire day on something that used to take 2hrs. And it still doesn't work.

The $%^& migration tool merged all my work files into my MAC documents folder (and filled up my boot SSD drive!!), which mixed up all my work and home files -- it took hours to separate them all out and copy them back into my VM. Same with the desktop files. What a bloody mess!

Since key files were not copied across properly to my C: drive with all the access right and permissions intact, but copied back in by me later, the applications that require them no longer recognize them and refuse to launch. After 2 migration attempts I'm now done with Parallels. Unless you can tell me there's an "advanced mode" which works properly.
