Deleting a VM Configuration

I somehow ended up with 2 config files on build 3188. They are WinXP Professional and WinXP Professional 1. Not sure how this happened, but they point to the same OS as I have only the one OS. What's the best way to delete the "1". I'm concerned about a normal vm delete because info suggests it will remove all files associated with this config and if these files are the same for both I may end up in a bad place. How should I safely proceed?
 
You need to find which one of them is the most current, then just delete the older one from /user/your user name/library/parallels folder. It´s a .pvs-file.
I hope this answer wasn´t too simple. :)
 
Your answer is not too simple, but I have only one .pvs file in that (or any) location. I do, however have 2 config files to select from when I bring up Parallels. That is my dilemma, one Guest OS with 2 pointers.
 
Another method could be to move the .hdd file to the desktop and then delete the VM, moving the .hdd-file back and create a new VM using an existing harddrive.
Configuring the VM from scratch shouldn´t be too difficult.
