Deleting obsolete virtual machines

I have 3 obsolete VMs alongside my current one. I cannot afford the space for these old VMs but at the same time I am concerned about deleting them for fear of deleting current data or/and applications. Can anyone help or at least reassure me that there is no danger of losing data/applications? How do I delete an old VM?

You don't have to worry about your current data and applications. It will not be deleted.
