I have a Macbook Pro 2.2 Core Duo and just installed Parallels and XP. In trying to run a software package after installation I receive an error message:

No compatible graphics card can be found by Direct X. Program exiting.

Any suggestions for a cure? Thanks

    Hello tartan
What build of Parallels are you running?
    Did you installed Parallels Tools?
Did you enable DirectX support in configuration?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    The build is 3188.

    I installed tools.

I don't remember doing anything to configure Direct X support in configuration.

BTW: how does one find out what version of Parallels they have?

Build 3188 is version 2.5, which doesn't support DirectX. You'll need to upgrade to 3.0 (4128) in order to get (partial) DirectX support.

    Thanks.

Just learned that from Customer Support. In the process of configuring the VM to recognize Direct X.

Installed 3.0 and modified config for Direct X. Software loaded.

    Thanks for the help.
