I have a Macbook Pro 2.2 Core Duo and just installed Parallels and XP. In trying to run a software package after installation I receive an error message: No compatible graphics card can be found by Direct X. Program exiting. Any suggestions for a cure? Thanks Tartan
Hello tartan What build of Parallels are you running? Did you installed Parallels Tools? Did you enable DirectX support in configuration?
Direct X Issue in Running XP Thanks for the quick reply. The build is 3188. I installed tools. I don't remember doing anything to configure Direct X support in configuration. BTW: how does one find out what version of Parallels they have? Tartan
Build 3188 is version 2.5, which doesn't support DirectX. You'll need to upgrade to 3.0 (4128) in order to get (partial) DirectX support.
