I'm trying to find a way to get Parallels to stop changing the resolution and/or DPI settings on my VMs.

I use a Macbook Pro Retina with an external 27" cinema display (2560x1440) at work. I generally run my Windows VM in full screen. When sharing my screen for a WebEx, I will reduce my resolution in my VM to 1600x900 so everyone can see my screen correctly.

I've followed the directions here: http://kb.parallels.com/en/116141 and here: http://kb.parallels.com/en/119926. I have set the Full screen properties to "Stretch." I've also unchecked the Enable Retina resolution checkbox on the Hardware...Video page.

This seems to work fine, provided I've only used 1600x900 since booting the guest. However, if I manually change resolutions in the guest without rebooting, all bets are off. Sometimes, when turning off full screen (@ 1600x900), it will resize to 2560x1440. Sometimes when running at full screen (1600x900) if I change the resolution, the guest will also change the DPI settings to extra large.

Here's a video I made showing some of this weirdness:

I just want a way to turn off all of the guest video change features of the Parallels Tools.
