Disabling Kaspersky Internet Security

I have activated Kaspersky Internet Security and I am getting horrendous performance. I tried to follow the step recommended here but it did not work. Can anyone tell me how to disable or uninstall Kaspersky?

To uninstalle Kaspersky please do the following:

1. Launch your Windows VM.
2. Open Add/Remove programs Control Panel in Windows.
3. Select Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 and click Remove button.
4. Restart Windows.

That's all.

Once or twice a day when I open the VM and Windows, I get the message "Please wait while your computer is installing Kaspersky... your computer will be restarted." And it restarts Windows.

Kaspersky does not show up in the Control Panel Add or Remove Programs.

What to do?
