I recently lost a vdd which was stored on a fat32 partition. All ran fine until I shut down the os (win xp) then starting again. It resulted in Parallels not recognizing the geometry and failing to open the (virtual) drive. Since then, I have built new virtual machines only on hfs drives and have not had a similar problem.
Now I'm a bit nervous about losing another vdd. Is there a virtual drive repair utility available, if this happens again, and I want to try to recover data on a damaged vdd?
