Do beta 4 images convert automatically to final version images ?

I've just acquired the trial version of beta 4 for Mac Osx. I intend to install XP.
If I like it I'll pre order the final version. In this case I'll actually start doing things with the beta 4 that I'll want to carry on in the final version. So will this image I'll have made in beta 4 be automatically be used in the final version or will I have to re-install XP ?
 
Virtual disk image format will remain the same and final release will boot all VM images installed by betas. But there is possibility that Parallels Tools will be changed and will have to be updated in final release.
