Do I have to install DirectX before the 3D will work?

The reason I'm asking because in Vista when I click on switching through windows button, it doesn't do 3D like it supposed to. Also maybe why it doesn't do 3D like it supposed to is my eyes are bad so I have big screen resolution. So maybe my big screen resolution is preventing the 3D from working?

Also I know there's a simple code in the Run box that you can easily test your 3D with a 3D cube. However I've forgiven that code, by chance do you know that code?

Do you mean Vista Aero? That isn't supported in the current release of Parallels, but is promised for a free update in the (near?) future.

You *do* have to enable DirectX in the VM video properties to allow any 3D support to work.
 
Assuming DirectX is enabled in VM options, you can go to run this command:

dxdiag

This will allow you to diagnose any DirectX problems. This includes the cube test you are referring to with DDraw and D3D.
 
I enabled the DirectX on both of my VMs. Still there's no 3D when I click on switch through Windows button in Vista. I'm not talking about Arso either.

I did an dxdiag test in both VMs. In Vista I couldn't test with the cube for some reason. However in XP the cube was spinning around like it was on speed.

I think there's something wrong.

Oh thank you for explaining that. Well I'll wait for the free upgrade that handles Aero later this year. :)
