Does AutoCompress work with a boot camp partition?

I'm wondering if AutoCompress works with a boot camp partition, after opening my existing VM (that was created in Parallels 4 from Boot Camp) AutoCompress was already checked, I also created a new Windows 7 VM from my Boot Camp partition and AutoCompress was already checked by default, how does that work with Boot Camp?
 
Steelbom,

AutoCompress can only compress file-based virtual disks, it does nothing for Boot camp partition.
