I am on the latest of Parallels 18.3, and Toolbox 6.5.0. I am on a MacBook Pro M2 Max, Ventura 13.4, also the current version of MacOS. But for some time, the CPU Temperature applet shows no values for CPU Temps, they just show as '--'. Is there a fix for this that I missed? Thanks!

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I tested your case locally and did not encounter an issue. Try reinstalling Parallels Toolbox. If the issue persists please collect a technical report Parallels Toolbox icon > Help > Send Technical Report.
I sent a report, I hope it does some good. Sometimes it reports 0 degrees, sometimes it reports over 200 degrees on an idle machine. How thoroughly did you test it, and for how long?
You didn't say to look for/report the technical report number! So how do I get it ad I already submitted the report!
Hello, This is not an issue in the product, it's done by design. Learn more in https://kb.parallels.com/129572: According to our tests, we noticed that from time to time the Mac sensors indeed reported a temperature of 4-8°C in the idle state, so the tool showed the values given by the Mac sensors. As of now Parallels Toolbox shows the "--" value when CPU/GPU temperature is 8 degrees or lower to avoid possible confusion from our customers.
Hi there, I'm posting this here because it seems to fit... somehow. Since a few weeks I'm using a Macbook Pro Max with M3 CPU. Paralles works and the tools are working too, except the display of the CPU temperature. Does anyone have a similar problem and is there a fix visible at the end of the tunnel? Best regards
I did some research regarding this problem and found out, that there is a high probability we have to live with this. It's because Apple discontinued IOKit, a low level API formerly used to get system information like CPU temperature. IOKit has been replaced by DriverKit but unfortunatly DriverKit has no functions & structures to get the CPU temperature. But I found another sulotion which works perfectly for me, it's named TG pro (formerly Temperature Gauge). The app shows much more information (if you want) this is just the mnue bar. They also have some additional information on there website regarding this topic. https://www.tunabellysoftware.com/support/tgpro_tutorial/ Maybe this will help one or the other. Best regards, Werner
