Does Parallels stay in OS X memory when Windows XP is suspended?

Having a discussion with my partner as to whether parallels or winxp stays in osx memory when you suspend winxp (in our case)?

When I am done working in winxp, i simply cmdQ parallels and when I restart, it resumes XP. Is it completely gone when doing this?

Parallels Desktop is in Memory, while you can see VM windows,
Prl_cl_app is gone which is VM
