Does running Parallels drain the battery?

I am running Win 11 Home with Parallels 26 on a 2019 MacBook Pro.
Recently I have noticed that when I run Parallels the battery level starts dropping, even when I am plugged in to the mains. Is there some setting I can adjust to deal with this?
