I have Win 10 on MacBook Pro 2018 13" running on Parallels Desktop on Mac OS X High Sierra.
Question: when I close the lid (putting OSX in Sleep mode), does this automatically pause Windows 10?
Asking as my battery seems to be draining very quickly when laptop is shut...

Hi @CharlieH1, no it is not, macOS goes to sleep itself, and when it happens Mac does not use battery at all. But, there's a macOS feature called Power Nap (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204032), and during this wakeup time Windows is also running. So I would suggest:
    1. Try disabling Power Nap, see how it works for you. (Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Energy Saver. Use the "Enable Power Nap" checkbox to turn Power Nap on or off.)
    2. If you need Power Nap on, try to suspend Windows before closing Mac lid and check if it helps.

By the way, is there any anti-virus software installed on your Mac?

Thanks Dmitry. I've left Power Nap enabled but am now suspending Windows before I shut the lid. No longer any battery drain.
