All: I had networking under MS-DOS and Windows for Workgroups working but in the upgrade from PD3 to PD4, the hard drive image got corrupted and wouldn't work. So, I'm in the process of rebuilding the configuration, but I've hit a snag with the Ethernet adapter. First, I can't seem to locate my notes on how I got the network adapter to work, and second, I can't find the RTL8029 real-mode DOS drivers I used to have. Can anyone tell me the proper real-mode settings for the 8029 adapter (I/O port, IRQ and memory address) and where I can get a full driver set? Realtek's site only seems to have a partial driver set for the 8029. Thanks. Rich
I know this thread is old but this is how I got it to work Download the WFW driver from - http://pht.univer.kharkov.ua/pub/drivers/rtl-8029/wfw311-8029(na).zip Install using the unlisted adapter option in the WFW network setup, Download and install the TCP/IP stack from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/99891 That seemed to work for me. Yes, indeed this works. I stumbled upon the driver after some searching, but its good to have the link in the forum for others to find.
