Hi, I am running parallels 11 for Mac and have a VM of Windows running in coherence.

Question, I use dropbox on my Mac and am wondering if I should also have dropbox installed and syncing within Windows or will this cause a conflict? Should I just have Dropbox syncing in my Mac as the Windows VM can access it anyways?

    Thanks,
    Derek

    Hello derek68,
The most optimized method of using Dropbox is by sharing it between your Virtual Machine and Mac host.

I am having an issue where I open a file in Windows from Dropbox and it says it's missing or incomplete. This is a new install- I remember having this issue on a previous install/machine, but cannot remember the fix- I THOUGHT it was mapping drives? Please help!

  4. Hello, what is you Parallels Desktop and macOS version? Also how did you upload files to Dropbox? Were you uploading via the Dropbox site, mobile device, or by moving the folder into the Dropbox folder on the computer?
