I'm about to purchase a Mac Pro, but only if Parallels will support the PC applications we require. All of these depend on legacy serial ports [marine navigation and communications apps, which sadly all expect old serial ports].
On the Dell that we wish to replace we solve this problem with an expensive USB <--> eight serial port adapter [the Edgeport/8 - 8 RS-232 serial DB-9 (about $500)

which requires installing the Edgeport drivers to map the serial ports.
Will this work on Parallels?
