Error loading operating system

I reformatted my hard drive, upgraded to (10.5.2) and have restored my virtual machines under parallels 3.0.

When I boot the Windows XP image, I receive the error:
Error loading operating system

My Vista image is opening with no trouble.

I've tried deleting my .mem and .sav files, same problem.

Does anyone have any idea how to correct this?

Try follow steps bellow:
1. Backup VM as described in Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 243
2. Startup from Windows XP cdrom, login to recovery console, and perform
chkdsk /r
fixboot /mbr
