I have been successfully using my Parallels program since August to run my PC based programs. Yesterday when I tried to log in I got this error message.
Virtual machine cannot be started because of the following problem:
Parallels Desktop is unable to access the virtual hard disk image file /Users/hayleysolich/Documents/Parallels/Microsoft Windows XP/winxp.hdd. The file is used by other application.
I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give me as to how I sort this issue out. I've tried looking to see if there is any other program that I know of that may be using the image but there is nothing else open and the error occurs even after I shut everything down and reboot.
Thanks in advance for any help, as I am losing money while it is down as I do my bread and butter graphics work on Parallels.
