I have an iMac with Parallels. Sometimes instead of going to Win7 via Parallels, I boot in Boot Camp. When I'm running straight OS X (Yosemite), I'm able to connect with the internet via my ethernet cable plugged into my iMac. However, if I'm in Win7, I don't see an option to using ethernet and instead have to use wifi. That works fine, but wondering if there is a way to instead also use my hard wire ethernet as it gives better performance.

Try to disable WiFi under your Windows 7 and check how it works, this is related to Windows.

I thought about that, but couldn't see anyway to turn off WiFi from within Windows. If I click "disconnect" from my WiFi access point, this time it DID route via my new ethernet connection. Thanks for getting me to try it one more time.
