external keyboard losses focus with Parallels

Hello All:

I'm not sure how or why or even when, but suddenly, my external USB keyboard will no longer function with Mac Apps when Parallels is running. The builtin-in keyboard on my MacBook Pro continues to work as expected.

Specifically, the external keyboard WILL work with apps running in Parallels - but not the Mac apps. Yet the mighty mouse, plugged into the keyboard works as it should with all applications - on both the Mac and Parallels side.

Any ideas???
 
Do you remember when it started to give out such strange behavior?
Perhaps you have updated your Parallels build recently?
If yes, try to reinstall parallels tools.
