I just bought a new IMAC and have an external Apple USB Modem for dial-up eternet that works fine in Mac but not in Parallel Windows. Error message reads: "There was a hardware failure in modem." I've checked all Windows settings and it appears everything is fine. Located on COM1. I turned on "USB Controller Connect USB Devices Automatically" in Parallels which I assumed meant that any device in MAC would also be available in Windows. How do I get Windows to find my External Apple Modem. Keep it simple because I'm an old NEWBIE to this. Thanks.
USB Modem Thanks for the Thread. I was hoping for something simpler. Looks like a lot of steps. I think I'll show it to the Apple tech where I bought the IMac and let him do it. Thanks again.
