Failed to init virtual machine monitor

    Alright! I managed to get it working.

    I reset back to stock clock speeds and the problem still persisted so that was not the issue, however, it did point me in the right direction and hopefully this could help someone else in the future.

    I am indeed using a hackintosh with a retail version of OSX Lion running on Intel i5 hardware. I over-clocked my CPU but I found it annoying when I would go to "About This Mac" it would still show the standard "3.3 ghz" instead of the "real" speed.

    I ended up editing the smbios.plist file (in the /Extra folder) and forced it to display my actual clock speed. Apparently this is what caused the issue. I re-edited the file and removed the "SMmaximalclock" override string I was using and everything works great.

    I am really glad to finally have this working. Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated!
