FAT32 Bootcamp

Can anyone provide any insight on bootcamp support for win32 drives?
I have WinXP installed on FAT32 partition. I would be mostly happy to be able to maintain single Win install for both Parallels and bootcamp. But I would like to keep fat32 as filesystem type.

Is this feature under development? Will we see it, say, within next 3 month? Is it considered not important?

I also bought parallels for the 'boot from bootcamp' functionality. I am also having problems as my bootcamp partition is FAT32. As best I know, the developers know of the problem and are working to fix it, but there is no ETA yet.
