Fedora 5 and native screen resolution

Did anyone managed to run Fedora Linux 5 with the 15" MBP native resolution? I can only set the displays resolution to 1440x900 but not on the graphics adapter (which is unknown "aaa" something). Setting the custom resolution in Parallels video settings doesn't help either. Though, under SuSE 10.1 I can set the proper resolution (and sound is also working). Any ideas?

you may need to reinstall fedora. i had this problem because i did not choose the correct screen during the install. you shoudl choose lcd and then you will get the choices. i think you can change the xconfig file, but i couldn't figure out what hte settings were supposed to be as you have to do more than just add the resolutions. you can reinstall from .iso files, which is pretty cool.
