Fedora 5 Screen Res in RC2

I am using RC2 and a Fedora 5 VM on a MacBook Pro 17. I cannot seem to get above 800x600 resolution.

I have set the xorg.conf file following a post I found on these forums to support 1440x900 and then rebooted and tried to set the screen res using the "Screen Resolution" tool in the GUI. I must admit that I am a noob when it comes to Fedora and I am rather lost.

Any suggestions and fixes would be weclomed.

Thanks.

Hi

Did you get an answer to this. I am messing about with Fedora as well and have the same issue.

Thanks - Michael

screen res

i had this problem too, and it was because i chose 'generic display' when installing fedora. you can change the xconfig file, but i coudl not find out what settings i needed there. i reinstalled fedora and during the installation i chose LCD for the display and then i got the entire range of screen sizes and it works fine.
