I have created a basic virtual machine, amended the memory and am now trying to install Windows XP.
Windows XP setup runs but some way in it reports:
> File \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. The error code is 512.
>
> Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.
The name of the file changes but this happens every time I try to install Windows XP.
I have tried a different Windows XP disc so a faulty disc would appear to have been ruled out. I have also successfully installed native mac os programs from cdrom so the cdrom drive would seem okay.
Any ideas? I am using the latest release candidate on a Macbook Pro with 2GB of memory.
Many thanks,
