FreeNAS 0.68 maintains constant 20%+ load

If I run FreeNAS in a Parallels VM using the FreeBSD 5 profile, after loading the ISO, the system maintains a constant 20% CPU load on both cores using a Macbook Pro Core2 Duo with 2G of RAM and 10.4.8 and Parallels build 1970.

By contrast, WinXP uses only 2-5% at idle.

You should be able to replicate this by downloading the FreeNAS ISO from their website, creating a similar profile, and then leaving the build alone.
 
You're lucky. Parallels has always used 40% CPU (ie 20% on each CPU) running Windows XP. I bought Parallels back in June and it's been the same for each version of Parallels I've used.

I emailed support on 9th September and again on 15th September and was ignored each time.
It seems customer service isn't a strong point.

Can you please check WinXP task manager for any guest processes that could consume a lot of CPU? In general, what is guest total CPU load when WinXP is idle?

Additionally, you might wish to include a reference to FreeBSD 6 in your existing profiles.
