Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Crash

    I keep getting an error that says "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close..."

    Any idea what is causing that and how I might be able to avoid it?

    Still occurring for me too. This error just pops up randomly. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Fixes, solutions, workarounds?

    Only Fix For The Generic Host Process Srvhost.exe Crash

    I lived with this problem for three weeks. Everytime the Generic Host Process crashed my srvhost.exe all the audio died on my computer.

    This is the only fix that worked. Most of the Kaspersky Lab products will not work on this issue.

    You probably have a Rootkit virus and this is the only tool I have found that is able to locate it and remove it.

    Click on the TDSSKiller.exe link and run the program. Then follow the instructions on the Kaspersky website.
