I'm using the latest Parallels Desktop on a UK MacBook Pro (2009-ish) and have installed Ubuntu Studio 11.04 but cannot get the keyboard to work properly.

In Keyboard Preferences / Layouts, I added 'United Kingdom Macintosh (International)' keyboard, which made Shift-2 give the '@' key correctly but then the single & double quote keys would not work unless pressed twice (same for tilde and other some other keys).

    LATER:
Closest I can get is to have Layout set to 'United Kingdom' only and Keyboard model set to 'MacBook/MacBook Pro (Intl)' : this makes all but the backquote key (which gives '<' and '>' keys) and the '§'/'±' key which give the backquote/tilde combination. I can live with this but would like to get it wholly correct.

Can anyone tell me how to get my keyboard properly mapped?

    Many thanks,
    Tony.

(Apologies if this is a common request - I did try searching this forum but could not find an answer.)
