Using Windows (XP or 2000) via Parallels can a GPS receiver be accessed via USB?

And in particular a Garmin eTrex using a serial to USB device?

Searches for USB and GPS came up with nothing.

Thanks. My main interest in running Windows is to use some of the GPS and mapping software. Some also require DirectX, but from what I read that's supported (but I have no idea what it is.
 
Not yet. I am also awaiting the USB connectability. My whole need for XP is to connect my Garmin GPSMAP60C.
It is said that it will be available (probably) before GA.
