I'm trying to run Doom (2016) on parallels but it always gives an error message. From what I've gathered that's because I need to install certain drivers for my graphics card and also a thing called Vulkan. When I install them on the vm they say I don't have the right graphics card even though I installed the exact version my mac has, and I can't install them on my mac because they aren't compatible. Is there any way around this? When I check what graphics card the vm is using it says "Parallels Display Adapter (WDDM)" so I don't think it knows what graphics card I'm using and therefore the drivers won't work. What can I do to fix this?
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. Currently Parallels Desktop supports OpenGL up to OpenGL3.3 and Doom requires OpenGL 4.5 which is not currently supported. Vulkan API is also not supported as well. However, I've informed our developers about your issue. Best regards.
What OS do you use? Maybe you need to update to Windows 11? Some old operational systems just don't have newest drivers.
