Graphics suddenly dropped!

Hello!

This is my first post on this forum. I've tried searching but couldn't find any answers related to my problem.

I run Parallels 4.0.3848 on my macbook pro with snow leopard 10.6.2.
I have Windows 7 installed in parallels as a virtual machine.
My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB.

Here is my problem:
Everything has been working perfectly up until today:
I just installed Age of Empires 2 (an old pc game) on my Windows 7 virtual computer.
When the game launches it changes the resolution and the colors to fit the game (old 256 color game).
However, when i exit the game I still have the poor graphics in my windows environment, it's stuck!

I have tried rebooting both the virtual computer and my mac as well as uninstalled the game and browsed the drive for viruses.
I don't know what to do!

Please help me!

I guess you should check settings of Video adapter/Monitor:

1. on desktop click with right mouse button and at appeared context menu select "Screen resolution"
2. select optimal for you resolution and then press "Advanced settings"
3. select tab "Monitor" and specify Colors bitsize (32-bit would be the best choice)
