Hello, I've been using Parallels desktop for Mac 3.0 which came with my MacBook Pro, I installed Windows XP sp2 onto a fixed drive image of 10 G size. Then I tried installing DriveCrypt Plus Pack 3.9G, a whole disk encryption software with password boot prompt. I have also tried using Best Crypt Volume Encryption to encrypt the guest OS.
Here;s the trouble:
After having installed any of the programs and encrypted windows guest os - the boot time increases up to 10 MINUTES! On my Macbook Pro with 4g of ram.
BUT: When I use VMWare Fusion - everything runs just great and there's just a light delay during guest OS boot.
What could be the problem? I'd like to keep on using Parallels, because of some of its features, but I can't work in Windows guest OS, cause it's booting up to 10 minutes with encrypted image.
Please explain.
