Hard Drive Size Not Reporting Correctly

I recently expanded my HD under the Parallel tools to 42G. Everything seemed to go just fine. Now when I login to the Windows side the HD only shows 31, the original size.
However when I use any tools like GParted or simply the windows Disk Management software it shows 42G.
Can someone please let me know what I should be doing to allow the windows disk to not only see the extra 11G but actually use it!

Hello Wade,

Wade, as you increase the capacity of your virtual hard disk, the added space appears in the guest operating system as an unallocated space. To use this additional unallocated space, you can either create a new partition on this unallocated space, or expand one of the partitions you already have.
