Hi, I use Solidworks in Windows10 in a VM. I'm thinking on improving GPU performance by implementing an eGPU. Which GPU would be best, the AMD RadeonPro WX7100 ou AMG Radeon Vega 56? The WX7100 is a workstation GPU but because there is no passthrough to the Virtual Environment the dedicated Solidworks driver wouldn't be useful to take advantage of hardware acceleration and other tweaks, like realview graphics.
So am I better off with the Vega56 which is cheaper or would I benefit in any way from a workstation GPU solution in the VM?
    Thanks.

    Hi MiguelP5.
Won't make any difference really. Parallels Desktop has no access to Mac's physical graphics cards. Instead, Parallels Display Adapter driver (which is part of Parallels Tools installation) interfaces with virtual hardware and provides 3D acceleration features. The actual acceleration is achieved by translating DirectX commands from guest OS to OpenGL API on macOS side. Please refer to this page and this article for details.
